Emei Mountain Scenic Area: Xiangchi Pool

The Xiangchi Pool is surrounded by tranquil and serene surroundings. During the Qing Dynasty, specifically in the Kangxi era, a small hermitage was expanded into a temple. The temple features a pond, rumored to be the bathing place of the white elephant.
This site serves as the convergence point for the left and right hiking trails on Emei Mountain, offering guest rooms to tourists, though the conditions are modest.

The temple complex includes the Maitreya Hall, Mahavira Hall, and the Guanyin Hall, with a camphor wood chair donated by General Feng Yuxiang within the Maitreya Hall.

This location is also an excellent spot for moon viewing within Emei Mountain. Additionally, local wild monkeys often roam around the temple; it is advised not to provoke them.

Opening hours are from 06:00 to 17:00 all year round.
