Xingcheng Folk Museum Introduction

Xingcheng Folk Museum is a comprehensive private museum. It was renovated in September 2016 and opened to the public in 2017. Located in the southeast corner of the ancient city, it is adjacent to the Confucian Temple and the General’s Mansion.
There are more than 20 themed halls in the museum, including folk shadow puppetry, dinosaurs in western Liaoning, various insects, plant and animal fossils, strange stones and meteorites, ceramics and ancient coins, ancient furniture, ethnic culture, red culture, tools from the Paleolithic and Neolithic Ages, etc. There are nearly five thousand exhibits, taking you through time and space to understand the ancient civilization of the Bohai Bay in western Liaoning.


It is not only a window for cultural exchanges of the ancient city but also an important place for students to punch in, study and experience. The museum has a photo-taking experience room equipped with various ancient costume props, especially for visitors to take pictures as souvenirs. Welcome to visit! Thank you!


Opening hours: It is open from 09:00 to 17:00 throughout the year. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on the day.


Preferential policies:


Children: Children aged 6 and below (inclusive) and with a height of 1.2 meters and below (inclusive) can visit free of charge. They need to be accompanied by family members. Free


Seniors: Seniors aged 70 and above (inclusive) can visit free of charge with their ID cards, but they need to be accompanied by one person at half price: 12.5 yuan. Free


Military personnel: Conscripts and disabled military personnel can visit free of charge with valid certificates. Free
